Eclipse Plumbing & Gasfitting is a Birkdale-based Plumber contractor serving Birkdale, Beach Haven, Birkenhead, Chatswood, Hillcrest, Northcote, Glenfield and Takapuna.
We've been trading for 13 years. Eclipse is led by Jake Rafi, who has been plumbing for 22 years, and we are current members of Master Plumbers. From our base in Birkdale we look after hot water, gasfitting and renovation plumbing for local homes.
Our team of three is Jake, Jerry and our apprentice Roman. We do hot water, gasfitting and renovation plumbing, plus new builds and light commercial work. Quotes are free, and our work is backed by a 2-year workmanship guarantee.

What are your rates?
Our rate is from $160+GST on weekdays, 7am to 5pm, which covers the visit and your first hour. After that, labour is $110+GST per hour. Quotes are free.
Do you offer after-hours or emergency call-outs?
Not at this stage. We do not offer a 24 hour or after-hours service. Our standard working hours are weekdays, 7am to 5pm.
Will I get a gas certificate?
Yes. All gasfitting in New Zealand must be certified, and connected gas work needs a Gas Safety Certificate. The regulations require us to give you a copy. Keep it safe, as you may need it for insurance or when you sell.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Jake is a certifying plumber and gasfitter, and Eclipse is a current member of Master Plumbers. Our licence numbers are on the public register if you want to look them up.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Birkdale on the North Shore and work across the North Shore, including Birkdale, Beach Haven, Birkenhead, Chatswood, Hillcrest, Northcote, Glenfield and Takapuna. Our rates are the same in every area.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Our work comes with a 2-year workmanship guarantee. The main exclusions are customer-supplied parts and existing pipework.

Yes. We install heat pump hot water systems for homes moving off gas. Every system is quoted to suit your home and how you use hot water.
Do you work with builders on renovations?
Yes. We do renovation and new build plumbing alongside builders and for homeowners.
Do you install dishwashers and other appliances?
Yes. We do the plumbing connections for dishwashers, washing machines and fridges, and we install water filters. Our gasfitting covers gas hobs and cookers.
